When Building A New Web/app Project, Do You Do The Backend First Or The Frontend?
#1
Prior to a comment on my last post. Someone talked about designing the frontend (UI/UX) of his projects before embarking on the backend structure.

This is not true for all programmers.

So, I will be glad if you can just share with us how your project development goes. Maybe you first work on the Frontend and later the Backend or Vice versa.

Also don't forget to tell us your reason(s).

@lekxel personally I go for back end first Big Grin
It makes no difference to me whether im making a game, a console, a script, an android app, or just a simple executable software, back end first, especially the core before moving to anywhere else.
Frankly my belief is if the back end(the relatively tough part of any application) is strong then everything else falls into place Big Grin

Thank you my brother, there's no way to test what you're working on without a back end.
One may even end up re writing the front end Big Grin

Your question is technical oh.. But here is the deal..

Front end is for client to see and backend is for me yeah.. D geeks..

Most client ask for front end because they want to see a sample.. I have a client now thats asking me for one now.. Havent created time to work a front end for him to see..

You can start from anywhere.. Dere are web designers only and dere are web developers only.. So depend for me am both.. So if dey ask for job i realy wena start frm back end nd move to front end but nw dis my client is asking me for only front end which am not meant to host just to bring sample for proposal...

So you can start anywhere depending on you giving the best design

So you are telling me that it is possible for frontend to come before backend. I dont believe this.

If you are building a php script from scratch, their is no way you can begin to work on the frontend unless you have done the backend to some extent.

The only time frontend can come first is if you are using an already completed script / software. E.g wordpress, mybb, phpbb, joomla etc.

Anyway this is just my own opinion sha.

@jonath45 what do you think?
