How To Come Up With New Startup Ideas
#1
If you want to be your own boss, and you have skills and fortitude to do so — but not an idea  for a startup — what do you do? Having spent at least 36 months of my life searching for ideas, and starting two companies, I’ll share four things I learned about how to do so successfully:
#2
1. Don’t read the tech blogs (well, other than this one) . You can drive yourself crazy focusing on the hype of what’s going on today. Moreover, you will get stuck in a loop of derivative thinking (Uber for cats. No … the Airbnb for cats!).
You need to be informed by new businesses that are starting and having an impact on the market.
But I suggest that you largely inform yourself about who they are and what they do, and form your own, independent view of what is interesting, disruptive and likely to succeed in the long term. Get conviction around who you think are the non-obvious winners, and be inspired by them.

2. Eat lots of lunch. While the food, in and of itself, won’t help you succeed, I would encourage you to try to never eat lunch by yourself. Enormous creativity can be found by surrounding yourself with thoughtful, intellectually curious folks, and talking with them in an unstructured way. Talk about which businesses they think, or you think, will be non-obvious winners, and why those businesses will be particularly disruptive or powerful.
3. Become a truffle hog. Once again, eating is not going to solve this problem for you. Sniffing, however, might. Just as a truffle hog can sniff out a truffle up to three feet underground, your senses should come alive when you find someone hiding a good idea. Lots of folks in the startup ecosystem are hunting for gold, and some have found a vein. They may not want to share it with you, but if you are persistent, helpful or nice enough … they might. The goal is not to steal their business idea, but to glean a non-obvious insight that is generalizable to other businesses.

4. Experiment. Try things. It’s surprising what you can learn by doing, and often there are things you fail to appreciate if you just dissect something from the outside. If you want to start a consumer app, go learn to code and write one. If you think drones are the future, go buy a drone. Better yet, go build a drone.

These were the tools that worked for me. My process was unstructured, and deliberately so.
I have seen other techniques employed — more structured analysis, market sizing, diagramming and dissecting — but for me, these dampen the element of creativity. For more thoughts and discussion on each of these points, you can drop your queries here on NCT and would be glad to discuss with you.

I remain your tech/business analytical writer, LightYagami .

This is a very brilliant write up bro but do you think there's an opportunity for those without the required skills to still go ahead to be an authority in the business Niche they love?
It takes so long to learn simplicity.

Certainly, I would say am a living testimony. I started a homebased multimedia studio 4 years back even when i was a novice in Graphics and FX. Initially, i had no clue where to start or which tools to use, but i knew i loved those things and my immagination was brilliant. I went ahead do researches through google, after starting with graphics design on PaintCAD and Propaint on my Nokia C2, i moved into Animation 2D and Video production right from my very first andriod device, Tecno P5, 3-4 years ago. Today, am glad to have gathered all those experiences, even though i closed down the studio to more pressing needs, I still do designs, videos, beats productions for clients and myself.
The point am driving at here is that, we may have fiercing dreams and ideas but no technical know-how, but as long as we seek for how to do it in our local ways, answers will come, solutions are always out there in abundance. We just need to seek them.

Thanks, what can you say to those who have brilliant ideas and skills but no capital to invest in it?

The capital getting is not the main thing, you've got to have a Brilliant Idea that can help other people solve their problem. If you have that - the capital will come.
But the problem here is with getting instant Gratification.
We want the result instantly but it does not work that way. No great business plan gained stance immediately after they started, we have to begin somewhere. Rome wasn't built in a day. Consistency, hardwork and dedication are key factors when executing goals.

You must carefully think all things over and then write a business plan. I’m seriously considering starting up my own Dairy Farm Business. I’ve already started preparing a business plan for it. Here is an interesting article about this idea https://www.ogscapital.com/article/dairy...iness-plan on this website you can find business plans for almost all types and ideas. Maybe it will help you.
